We have had very good experiences with DaWanda. For about 1 year we sell there. The sale of our handmade goods is very satisfactory for us. We can recommend DaWanda.

Etsy

We were logged into the US sales platform Etsy for several months. The sale started. It was upgradeable. Unfortunately, we were deprived of the sales adjustment from today to tomorrow without notice. All efforts to recover the sales adjustment were in vain. Etsy has not responded to any of our messages.

The reason for the blocking was as follows:

"Their products are not handmade goods, they are mass-produced and they are industrially manufactured. They violate the Etsy sales rule. Lifetime sales lock. "

So fast you can be wrong.

You do not have to be a superman to find a few Chinese dealers in Etsy within minutes who sell their cheap goods a thousandfold there.

With our self-made items, we supply dealers all over the world. Some of these wholesalers sell these products successfully for years without problems on Etsy ...

On our complaint at Etsy Germany in Berlin, came no answer.

Amazon Handmade

We are not a seller at Amazon Handmade yet. If you look at this platform, the number of dealers, their valuations, etc., you will notice that Amazon Handmade is not a promising alternative to DaWanda or Etsy.

Own online shop

The own shop should always be the first choice. Even if you have to put in a lot of work at the beginning. Take pictures, article descriptions, design, SEO ...

Given the abundance of existing online retailers, it is very difficult to make their own webshop known. You need a lot of money for advertising, SEO, etc. But you always have its base on which you can fall back and you can freely design and look.

Conclusion:

From experience, we can only advise to always first incorporate his products into their own shop. Each of the above sales platforms has a good connection, so you can always export the products quickly.

All products, descriptions and photos have been stored safely. You should never bet on a sales platform, but always stand on several "legs". In case of a withdrawal of the sales authorization one still has the others.
